Author: An article in the Sunday travel section of The Independent gives an excellent rundown of how to organise a holiday in Istria. Writer David Ryan recommends Fazana as a base for visiting other Istrian destinations including the nearby Brijuni Islands, Rovinj, Pula and Motovun.
The article also gives a good description of the luxury campground, Bi Village in Fazana which the author booked through Thomson. You can rent a mobile home to enjoy the three swimming pools on site and you’re just a short distance from a beach where water sports can tie up all time not devoted to Istrian sightseeing. Bi Village is an excellent budget choice in a region filled with much pricier accommodation.
