February 7th 2007 10:04 am

Rumors have been flying for months but now it’s official. Low-cost carrier Ryanair is launching a new route from London (Stansted) to Zadar beginning April 23. The flights leave London at 17.10pm Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 5.10pm arriving in Zadar 3 1/2 hours later. Flights from Zadar to London leave Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9pm. This is going to be a big boon to one of my favorite cities in Dalmatia.

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline (6th Feb) announced 16 new routes across Europe and its 19th base in Dusseldorf today. This expansion brings Europe’s lowest fares to four new airports, Alicante (Spain), Maastricht (Netherlands), Palma de Mallorca (Spain) and Zadar (Croatia).

These 16 new routes are available for immediate booking on www.ryanair.com, and to celebrate we are offering 5 million FREE seats so passengers should get online immediately, before they are all snapped up”.

That’s right. FREE SEATS to Zadar! So get online and start planning your visit. From Zadar, you can hike in Paklenica National Park, take a day trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park, visit unusual Pag Island or hop a ferry to untouristed Dugi Otok.

Or, find out about other cheap flights to Croatia.
