“Where should I eat in Dubrovnik” would certainly top my FAQ list (if I had one). No one wants to waste precious time on a mediocre meal in Dubrovnik, especially when you’re only there a few days. I can understand that, which is why I’ve compiled a list of the best restaurants in Dubrovnik.
But the restaurant scene in Dubrovnik is always changing.Fortunately journalists are always passing through and testing the new eateries. Recently, Michael Kerr of the Telegraph drew my attention to a place called Wanda Restaurant. Run by a recent emigrĂ© from Los Angeles, Wanda is on Prijeka, a street in Dubrovnik’s Old Town better known for its aggressive hawkers than the quality of its cuisine. Wanda Restaurant has an appealing menu of dishes that are more Mediterranean than local but nonetheless delicious. Plus, there’s a fixed price three-course menu for only €20.
The other restaurant mentioned in the article is Dubrovacki Kantun which specializes in traditional Dubrovnik dishes. Less slick perhaps, this restaurant is the place to try “dirty macaroni” and other less amusingly-named local specialties.
