My wife and I are intending holidaying in Croatia for about 7-8 days (end June early July 2008). We intend travelling by public transport (bus/train) and will appreciate your advice on the best options and some detail about trains/buses etc. - see our intended schedule below:

29June - travel from Venice to Plitvice lakes area and spend three days there. We would prefer a direct route fom Venice, via maybe Rijeka?? if possible and not go through Zagreb as we wil go there later on
2July - travel from Plitvice lakes to Split/Dubrovnik and spend 4 days there
6 July - leave for Zagreb en route to Slovenia (short visit to Lake Bled) and on to Frankfurt

We need to be back in Frankfurt mid -morning 8 July to catch our connecting flights back to South Africa.

I will be very grateful if you can advise me on what would be the best way to travel or put me in touch with some websites given your experience of the area.

thanx very much, Ivan
