International Buses to Pula

Italy

Trieste is the best jumping off point for buses to Pula as there are up to four daily that make the 3 3/4hour run. The timetables are geared to Pula residents who run up to Trieste to shop or work not for Trieste residents who vacation in Pula. See the schedule. There's also a bus from Padua that stops in Venice and Trieste before heading to Pula. See the schedule at Brioni Lines. You cannot book online but it is normally not a problem to get a seat at the last minute. These buses are highly reliable and distances are relatively short.

Domestic Buses to Pula

Buses are frequent to Rovinj (40 minutes), Rijeka (2 1/2 hours), Split (10 hours) and there is one daily to and from Dubrovnik (15 hours; see the schedule at buses from Dubrovnik). You cannot reserve buses online but you should buy your ticket as far in advance as possible, especially in the summer and going down the coast. See the schedule of buses from Pula.
